RHZ Amateur Radio Network is designed to be legal and inexpensive as possible so to allow hobbyists and curious amateurs to become involved in networked amateur micro-radio transmission. RHZ is an ongoing experiment itself. We’ll do our best to bring you easier participation, more education, and a simpler technological interface.

OVERVIEW

In order to join the network, you will have to purchase a transmitter and set up a micro-radio station. There are many different levels of transmitters and you can get started for under $50. Once you have your own legal micro-radio station (no matter how big or small) contact RHZ to register on the network. Starting after Thanksgiving, anyone who has a transmitter will be able to submit content to a centralized schedule. And the grand cycle of networked radio will be in place! Also those intersted in programming or helping us hire some don't be afraid to check out our technical development or donate pages! I encourage all interested participants to follow these rules and to please get involved!

Eventually, the network may become to big to negotiate a completely decentralized control, and will have to negotiate splitting to service other communities. If you are interested in beginning your own network to service your neighborhood, city, or group, please contact me here. RHZ is currently still developing the software, but hope to have a basic working model by the end of 2004.
