Here is how RHZ is running now:

Jeff schedules the files, and then sends them to Doug's computer that further preps the files to the master server. The server streams the info to the net, but due to current streaming technology, increased audiences becomes a strain on the system. (see v 0.2). The Chinatown microstation recieves the stream and transmits it to the neighborhood.

Here is how RHZ will soon be running:

I keep scheduleing, and sending to Doug to finish prep and send to server. The stream goes out to the net, but instead of being centralized, the stream runs off a peer to peer syetem called bitorrent. Each computer buffers the information, and then plays back the information according to a syncronized timecode embedded in the stream. Each transmitter then can play the stream at the exact same time in different places. You can also sill listen on the internet alone (that's the computers without transmitters!)

Here is a diagram of how an average home station will operate.

Confused? Don't worry, you don't have to understand this diagram to run a home station. This page is for the computer geeks! The actual interface will be super easy!

Basically, individuals will be able to uplod files to a centralized and automated processing and storage system (giving me and Doug a break, because we do it ourselves each week!!)

The archives and stream will operate on bitorrent P2P and play back as mentioned in the previous diagram.
